Selena Gomez is breathtaking in a stunning LBD as she “chats” with George Lopez on Lopez Tonight on Monday night (July 26) in Los Angeles.

The 18-year-old actress actually lost her voice! Selena turned to a handy-dandy Dynavox machine and a dry-erase board to converse with the talk show host and comedian.

Selena told George about being good friends with Justin Bieber and teasing him about his height. She shared, “[I told him] ‘I’m not going to take off my heels. You’re short, embrace it.’”

On the show, George actually presented Selena with a gift basket from Warner Bros full of The Wizard of Oz merchandise and Dynavox donated their machine in her name to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles!

He’s friends with Jennifer [Stone] so he would come on my set and hang out. So, when he got the part, he texted me and was like ‘hey, I got the part’ and I was like ‘Oh my gosh. I’m so stoked’. So, I really had a great time with him. It was nice to have someone I knew and was comfortable with.”

Though Disney star Selena Gomez has many irons in the fire, she’s understandably upset about ending her hit show “Wizards of Waverly Place.” When MTV News caught up with Selena as she promoted the upcoming film “Ramona and Beezus,” she confirmed what will be her last season on the “Wizards” series and dished about a new “Wizards” movie and her new feel-good album.

“Unfortunately, I’m doing my last season of my show, which I’m really heartbroken about,” the teen star told us. “That’s gonna be a terrible time for me. I’m gonna do a movie for my show, which I’ll be excited to end it with, and then a tour.”

Selena fans will have so many other projects to look forward to, they may move on from “Wizards” quickly! Selena certainly is; in addition to the planned movie and tour, the singer-actress recently wrapped “Monte Carlo” alongside Leighton Meester, Cory Monteith and Katie Cassidy. She’s also busy planning the follow-up album to 2009’s Kiss & Tell, due this year.

"The title so far of my album, I mean, I'm hoping it will stick is A Year Without Rain," the “Ramona and Beezus” star revealed. "It's basically one of my favorite songs on the record… It's kind of got a more feel-good dance beat and feel. I love it. It's different, kind of shows my growth of my music." She added, "I think if anything the lyrics are powerful, in a way."

On which songs in particular inspire her lyrically, Selena couldn’t help but nail down a tune called “Intuition.” "There's the song called 'Intuition' that's one of my favorites. The message is basically every decision that you regret or second-guess, [just] do it [anyway]. I love that message so much."

Selena Gomez was recently interviewed by Mirror.co.uk where she talked about herself, her career and working for Disney. Selena Gomez chats about knowing what she wanted to do at an early age, and how she doesn’t find it unusual:

I think a lot of kids that age are like, ‘I want to be an astronaut. I want to do this or that,’ but I knew that’s what I really wanted to do. I think you can be a lot more fearless with those decisions when you’re younger. My mum kept me in school as long as possible, so I got that kind of normality growing up. Actually, a lot of the kids made fun of me because my first job was on a kids’ show they all watched, Barney And Friends, but I still enjoyed acting, I didn’t let that stop me.

Selena also talks about the paparazzi and how they follow her all the time because of how famous she has become:

Whenever I go out of town they follow me, when I’m at home in LA sometimes they give me space. I don’t like it at all, but it comes with the job. I’m pretty boring for a teenager really, I just like to do normal things and I’m not into the partying scene. My job’s so crazy that in my free time I just like to stay in and watch movies.

We are so excited to see Selena’s movie “Monte Carlo,” which she is currently filming and which is set to hit theaters in 2011!

Justin, Alex and Max Russo are coming back — not just in a fourth season, but a second movie too!

Selena Gomez, David Henrie, Jake T. Austin and Jennifer Stone will be reprising their roles as sibling wizards and their live-in best friend on the fourth season of Wizards of Waverly Place, Disney Channel announced today.

But we won’t just be finding out who will ultimately win the title of family wizard — we’ll also see another movie from the popular franchise! Dan Berendsen, who wrote the first Wizards movie, is writing the second movie script right now.

And don’t worry, Gregg Sulkin will be back too ;)

The American Music Festival in Daytona Beach, Florida announced that Jonas Brothers, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Justin Bieber, Carrie Underwood, Christina Aguilera, Rihanna and more will perform at eight major concert events this summer outside at the Bandshell on the beach.

After the major concerts in June at the Bandshell, it will expand to shows at the Ocean Center, Peabody Center and Main Street. Daytona Beach has committed $125,000 to promote it.

The city has given hundreds of thousands for music events before, with little return, but said the organization is different this time: 'We've committed money to beer parties that had a music element involved. This is going to be the highest-quality music entertainment we can have.'

Selena Facebook update: Hey Everyone, I just wanted to send you all an update from Budapest. I finally started filming yesterday for Monte Carlo the past two to three weeks have been learning how to play polo and getting my British accent just right. The cast is amazing and I am so ready to get this project started. Budapest is absolutely gorgeous and the people here are very friendly.

I do miss home a lot though and will be ready to get back to America when the project is over, I feel like I have been gone forever. I have also been working on my second album every weekend and should have it to you guys before the year ends, I cannot wait for you guys to here this album. I think we might be doing a couple more concerts here in Europe while I am still out here but, nothing has been confirmed yet I will let you guys know as soon as I know for sure.

I have been getting updates about how the record has been doing overseas and I guess things have been successful so I just wanted to Thank You all so much for supporting the album, I hope to come play some songs for you soon.

In a new article from TheMorningCall.com, Selena Gomez and Adam Lambert pre-sale ticket sales for the upcoming MusikFest 2010 are compared.

After the two-day early sales to people who own paid memberships to ArtsQuest, the organization that holds the 10-day downtown festival each August, American Idol alum Adam has sold less than half the tickets to his Aug. 13 show than Selena.

Selena actually sold out all of her VIP sections at the RiverPlace main stage, while there are 653 VIP seats still up for grabs at Adam’s.

After many rumors that Disney darlings Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are no longer BFFs, Selena spoke to Popstar magazine about her friend.

“I love her.” Selena said of Demi “I completely love her to death, and her whole family of course. I will always talk extremely highly of her, and always have. I’m a huge fan of everything she does.”

“But, I think that right now I’m going through a phase in my life where I’m just trying to figure out where I want to be, and where I want to go. She’s been working on the set of “Wizards of Waverly Place” since 2007, and Selena Gomez says she now sees the cast as her family. In a recent interview with Mass Movement Radio, 17-year-old Gomez told, “My cast is family 2.0 for me. I’ve known them all for about 4 years now.”

Continuing on, Selena dished, “I spend every day with them and I went to Puerto Rico with them to shoot our movie so we’ve definitely gotten really close here.”

In other news, Ms Gomez will be featured in People magazine’s upcoming Most Beautiful issue which will feature a plethora of celebrities posing with make-up-less faces.
